Breast Cancer Awareness

It was Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and we're keen to remind readers of the importance of being breast aware. Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK.

The October campaign aimed to raise awareness of the benefits of regularly checking for unusual changes and seeing your GP if you do notice anything new. Although survival rates are improving, the number of people being diagnosed (both male and female) is going up.

Every year some 55,000 people receive the awful news. However, on a positive note the sooner it's diagnosed, the more effective the treatment is likely to be. Please take time to include breast awareness in your regular body care routine.

You can find more information about what to look for, plus ways to support the Breast Cancer Care campaign here.
